The Hermle Castleton Grandfather Clock features a handcrafted clock case made in Virginia from solid American cherry wood with a cherry finish. The well-designed clock case is topped with a graceful swan neck pediment with a carved finial and a crotch mahogany veneer crown, hand rubbed, with maple fleur-de-lis inlay and primavera veneer border. The case on this Hermle grandfather clock also features half-tuned fluted columns with carved column caps, separated hood and waist front doors, side access doors, and a three-tiered base with floor levelers. Open the beveled glass waist door to view the ornate, brass pendulum bob and weight shells. Hermle’s 8-day cable-driven mechanical movement plays three of the most renowned clock melodies, Westminster, St. Michael, and Whittington.
